Meet Our Artist...
Leah Thompson
Philadelphia native, Leah Thompson has been painting for over  15 years. She’s a graduate of Pennsylvania State University and holds a BFA in Fine Arts and a BS in Art Education.

“ I like my works to be filled with movement and expression as well as color. My interest lies in capturing the spirit of the subject . I am inspired by the works of Degas, Van Gogh, and several German Expressionists.”


Leah Thompson has won  awards for Best Painting at Virginia Western ( 2008) and  2nd Place for Pastels in the Smith Mountain Lake Art Council Art Show (2008). Leah is currently exhibiting at Second Helpings Art Gallery ( Roanoke, VA), Carillion Hospital (Roanoke, VA), Black Dog Salvage (Roanoke, VA), and LinDor Gallery (VA).


Leah is currently an elementary art teacher for the Roanoke City Public Schools . Her hobbies include gardening, exercising, and healthy cooking.  She lives with Jonathan her husband of 15 years, and her son.
